Each Spring astronomy enthusiasts around the world test their mettle with the daunting challenge of observing all 110 Messier Objects in one night. Our twist is to image them – a much more difficult task, and everyone is invited to the party!
Saturday, March 24 2012, was an incredible marathon night. Although we were unable to come close to last year’s (2011) New Mexico Tech record of 104 of 110 objects, we did manage a respectable 44 to 60 objects by our imagers. Click on the “Messier 2012” link to follow our progress.
